Leave phone off during porting/activation?
Hi, I am in the middle of porting a number from Google Voice to Xfinity Mobile. The Xfinity webpage on activations makes it seem like you have to leave the phone off the whole time during activation. But I've learned reading the forums that the port from Google Voice can take several days. Do I really have to leave my phone off for several days straight to avoid any issues while porting? Or can I turn it it back on and use wifi while I wait?
Second question, there was some discussion in the forums about whether your Google voice pin is the last four digits of your phone number or not. Assuming I never manually created a pin on Google voice to listen to voicemail, was I correct to just enter the last 4 digits of my phone number as the Xfinity website instructed? Thanks!
