iphone SE visual voicemail
Hello,
I recently migrated from an Android phone to an iPhoneSE and I cannot get visual voicemail to work. I found some others on the forum with the same issue that seems to have been resolved by @ComcastChrisL, but he doesn't seem to be active lately. Per the thread, he has been able to reset the voicemail to enable visual voicemail. Can anyone else help? I've tried to address him directly, but do not seem to be able to do so via his personal page.
Thanks,
Michael

Hello @moosha_loose,
Thank you for posting to the forum and my apologies for the issues you've encountered with the visual voice mail service. When you get an opportunity, reach out to me via private message, which you should be able to do so now that you've posted publicly.
Click on my name ComcastChrisL, which takes you to my profile page, and from there select the blue 'send a message' button.
In your private reply please include the following for account access and authentication;
First and last name, complete service address, mobile number, and the last 4 digits of the card on file.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks again!
Chris

I had to be patient and call customer service on a day when I had things to do around the house. I called on a different phone than the one I needed help on. I was on hold for about 45 min then talked to first agent and went through his protocol and asked for technical help then he agreed to get someone else involved, I had to wait for another hour for them to call me back. This person was very helpful and in about 30 minutes the problem was fixed. Good luck

+1 Same issue here. Transferred from another provider with a new Iphone se.
1. No option to "set up" voicemail.
2. I do get some messages in the messages app - they look like garbled data but seem related to voice mail.

Hello, I am desperately tryijng to unlock my phone. On Dec 10th I switched to another provider and have been unable to activate my phone because it is locked by Xfinity Mobile. I've been calling into the phone support for several days and the hold is never-ending.

I have just ported from Verizon on Pixel 3 to Xfinity on Iphone 12 pro, my wife and I have this exact problem. No VM notifications and no Visual Voicemail. We can check VM by going to phone and tapping the VM tab but only option there is "Call Voicemail" where we have to enter our VM PIN.
There is no option to setup up visual voicemail since we activated our new phones.
We keep receiving these odd messages from VZ that state the following:
//
VZWVVM:SYNC:EV=MBU;DEV_T=5
And looking this up I believe Verizon is still trying to sync Visual Voicemail instead of Xfinity mobile so I fear this feature is missing on our account.

Try this. Hit the call voicemail option and enter 0000
If this doesn't get you anywhere you will need to call XM support and since you previously were using Android they need to modify your VVM server settings.

You need to call XM and they need to change some of their back end settings since iOS and Android voice mail work much differently. Unfortunately their porting process isn't smart enough to figure out that you may have a new device and therefore maybe a new OS.
