iPhone 12 Visual Voicemail issue

Hi,

So I just transferred to Xfinity mobile from Verizon wireless. When I was on Verizon I had a google pixel phone and when I transferred I got an iPhone 12.

My visual voicemail on my new iPhone is not working. My phone doesn’t even notify me when I get a new voicemail.

I go into the phone app and all I see on the voicemail tab is “Call Voicemail”. I click it and I enter my pin I get to my voicemail. However I don’t get any notifications or visual voicemail on my phone.

I have tried all the proposed solutions out there (Turn Siri on, reset network settings) and nothing worked.

@ComcastChrisL can you provide any assistance? I am sure I’m not the only one that has these issues.

I had the same issue to almost every phone on xfinity..  almost 4th time now..

In the past they removed the line and reactivated it.. they call it "Reprovisioning the line "

Today, when i reached ouit looks like they have a new feature to "Fix voicemail".

I would suggest you to contact customer service hopefully through chat so you can turn off and ON your phone.

from agent: "We have an option of "Fix Voicemail" which not always works but this time we turned the voicemail off, fixed it and turned it back on. Afterwards we asked you to reboot your device."

Not sure if you are the same person who posted about this before. I have a Samsung phone and have concluded that Visual VM doesn't work with Xfinity mobile. I've researched it pretty much to death. I ended up downloading an app called Voxist that does the same thing. Seems to work pretty well but I'm not fielding a ton of calls. When I try to access visual VM, I get a notice to "call xfinity" to set up visual vm. They have no clue. It will only work on Samsung if you have an older than 2019 phone so don't know if it's the same deal with iphones but you may as well look at other options.

I did what @miyako stated (just switched from Note 20 Ultra to iPhone 12 Pro Max).

Contact Support via chat and ask them to reach out to Voicemail Tier 2 Support and do the following:

  1. Change your voicemail from Android to Apple in Verizon’s systems.
  2. Remove voicemail from my account then re-add it.

Once they are done, you will be asked to perform a network reset and presto, visual voicemail is working!

@ComcastChrisL - hello, i am having same issue with my iphone12 pro max.  I just upgraded my iphoneXR which was already on xfinity network and visual voice mail worked fine, to the iphone12 pro max and xfinity support told me it's an apple issue, apple support forums say it's xfinity issue. I found this forum.  Can you help?

@mellooney apparently @comcastchrisl is no longer with xfinity. Try the steps I mentioned above.
