Email disappearing on iPhone
My email disappears from my iPhone 7 . If I open it right after it arrives I can read it, but a few minutes later it will not load, and several minutes after that it disappears altogether and I get a notice that says this message is no longer available.
The only way I know I received most emails is because I can see them on my computer. Also, when an email first appears on the phone I can move it to another folder I created and I am able to go back and open it later.

You need to change the email settings from your computer. What's happening is that your computer is still setup to download your email and then delete it from the host server. You may need to switch your email to IMAP.

I presume you have a Comcast.net email.
Log into your email from any browser. Click on settings (gear top right?). Then email settings.
Click on advanced settings on left side of screen. Under POP click Keep.

Hi Dave,
I do have a Comcast.net email. I went to Advanced Settings as you recommended and Under POP "Keep" was already checked.
If you can suggest anything else to fix my problem I would be thankful.

My guess is that you are using an old legacy POP email program on your computer. So I suggest that you either remove the old program or modify its settings if possible. You really should be using a connect type program where all of your devices just sync to the Comcast servers.

You didn't say that you were using outlook on your iPhone, and presumably on your PC. Comcast email is bad enough no matter what program you are using.

I just bought a new Lenovo computer but I was having the iPhone disappearing email problem before I got the new computer. I will try to delete Outlook on my phone and reinstall it again to see if that fixes it.

Sorry I didn't say I use Outlook on my phone. And I have Microsoft 365 Ooutlook, so that may be the problem.

Hello, how are you @judym1? I hope overall everything is going well. This could very well be an issue between your iPhone 7 and Outlook. I know me saying this might be stating the obvious, but you may have to reach out to Microsoft and Apple. If you are having any issues with your Comcast webmail services please let us know. Since you are having the same issue after getting the Lenovo I would focus on the iPhone 7. Are you able to download and test your Outlook app on another phone? This is something I would try. I hope this helps a little.

Thank you for replying to my problem of disappearing email on my iPhone 7. The problem seems to have been corrected. I'm guessing it was fixed when I updated to the latest iOS 14.4 .
