Deferred port of cell phone number to Xfinity mobile

I would like to move my cell phone plan over to Xfinity mobile. I am not able to do so because one of the numbers on my plan is not compatible? All of my number are currently with the same provider for cell service in the same location. Why can Xfinity not port over my phone number from the rate center? If I move this number to google voice first can I them port it into Xfinity? There must be a way to do this. Xfinity has service in the locations of the numbers I currently have. Xfinity customer support has been of no help. They told me it gives an error? This is your system and all you can tell me is I got the same error as you? Maybe you don't want the business?
