Can't find details on my data usage in the mobile app. I don't want to know...rop

what plan I can upgrade to. I want to know what apps are using my data. I can't find it anywhere on the app. Just tells me how much I've used but not where it was used. I can't for the life of me figure out how I can be using all this data when I never leave my home due to trying to avoid covid!

I can see it in my settings for my phone but I want to see it in the xfinity app since you're the one who is going to make me pay more if I go over YOUR data reading.

Xfinity only measures how much total data you use. Your phone keeps track of the details. If you're not leaving home, you can turn your data off. I keep mine off at all times, unless I have to use it. Then I turn it back off as soon as I'm done. I also turned off background data for nearly all of my apps.

I do have my data turned off when I'm in wifi. Which makes it even more baffling. I can see the data usage on the settings on my phone but I still don't know why the apps are using that data since mobile data is turned off. I have my data set to turn off via a Bixby routine and only to turn on if my wifi signal is down to something like 5%.

I don't have a Samsung, so I'm not familiar with Bixby Routines. It sounds like that could be what's causing the problem. If you don't want to use data, you can be in complete control by just keeping it turned off. Even if you're not using the phone, if Bixby Routines turns data on, apps can still use data.

Thanks for the response but I don't think Bixby is the issue. Bixby is set to turn data off completely unless my wifi signal goes under 5%. So it will turn data back on if my power goes out and I lose my wifi completely. Turns data completely off when I'm connected to my wifi network and doesn't turn it back unless something similar to the above happens or I leave my house so there is no wifi signal. With Covid, I'm only leaving my house once every few weeks so....Anytime I look at the connections when I'm home, the data is turned off. as it should be.

I do know that some miniscule amount of data is used regardless of whether it is turned on or off, but not as much as I seem to be using.
