Black Friday Offer - $450 Visa Gift Card Trade In Scam
I did the Xfinity extended black friday deal and bought a new iphone 13 pro and traded in my iphone X. I did this because of the advertised $450 visa prepaid gift card deal that I was supposed to get. I sent my old phone in to Assurant long ago and they finally processed it on January 20, 2022. I received the check from Assurant on January 31, 2022 and the $450 isn't even showing in the incentive tracker. I have called Assurant multiple times and they direct me to Xfinity because it is Xfinity's promotion not theirs. I've been getting jerked around for weeks. I have called at least 6 times now with and this is what happens, 1) they go to "look" at my account and then the horrible automated line comes back on asking the same questions I already spent 10 minutes getting out of, 2) can't find anything on it and tell me to just keep waiting and see what happens, 3) telling me to call Assurant instead, 4) transferring me to a different department only to have that department transfer me back to the original department that I was talking to, and 5) telling me anything they think I want to hear in order to get my off the phone.
I have wasted hours on hold and on the phone with xfinity. The people answering the phones have no idea how the trade-in process works and accordingly can't give me any explanation or timeframe for anything and they don't know who to ask so they just play hot potato between departments until I get hung up on or booted back to the initial automated line options. After what I have read, many others have experienced the same thing with this promotion, which puts this into the territory of just being a scam. Especially since I never would have traded in my old phone that worked perfectly for the pitiful amount that Assurant provided without the promise of the $450 gift card. If Comcast isn't going to cough up the gift card, then I want my phone back.
This whole situation has caused me to start looking at other options for our mobile phones and for our internet service as well. This is just not worth the hassle.

Hey @user_56ed2f. I'm terribly sorry to hear that you've patiently waited for this gift card and have had such a difficult time getting the assistance you need over the phone. I definitely understand your frustration and apologize that our team here is limited with our ability to help with Xfinity Mobile (XM) accounts, but I would definitely recommend speaking with our XM team over chat instead to make sure you can get the answers you need. You can start a chat with them using this link. https://comca.st/3JJeRJi

I am having the same problem. I turned in two iphones and cannot find out anything about the $450 prepaid VISA cards. This was the only reason I traded in my phones.

I had the same kind of issue that was just resolved tonight with a $450 credit to my mobile account when I got a call back from a woman from the Comcast Corporate Installations Team. She verified all of my information and I had the credit immediately. I purchased a iPhone13 and traded in my Galaxy S9 for $28 from Assurant.
I suggest that people having these issues go to this link and submit your information. It will tell you that someone will get back to you within 3-5 business days. I'm pretty confident this is what got me my call back tonight. https://xfinityincentivetracker.com/contact
You should be prepared to provide information about what phone (and memory size) was purchased, what was traded in and have the offer number from the Assurant confirmation when you get called.

Same boat. I was on chat with a rep and he seems to be going in circles. Gave me that xfinity incentives website but that website has no info with my trade in gift card. So what can xfinity do to show us the status of those trade in promo they have? Atleast it should show pending approval. But no info. And the good rep was offering me a byod $200 by bringing in my phone and number but the promo he was talking about already expired last month! This just shows they are not aware of the promo they are offering.

Total scam. Same has happened to me. Sold my Google Pixel for $7 because the sales rep assured me that I will get $450 prepaid card for purchasing ne Google Pixel and switching over from Verizon. Cant get any straight answers on phone after being on phone for 2 hours. Their chat is [Edited: "Language"], their xfinity mobile reps are [Edited: "Language"], and there rewards department is [Edited: "Language"].

I am a 24 yr Comcast customer. I switched over to Xfinity Mobile back in November 2021 because of the Black Friday
promotion. I was promised 2 ---$450 Visa gift cards for the two phones I traded in. I have been going back and forth since March with the Sales Person at the store where I made the switch, I have spent several hours using the chat feature with no resolution. I have made calls to the customer service line & nothing has happened. This must be a scam, nobody at Xfinity seems know about the program.
If Xfinity is this disorganized I'll switch back to Verizon. I will continue to update this post weekly until there is a resolution. No more
contacting the store, no more Chats, no more phone calls.

I finally received my $900 VISA card last week. I was having the same issue with 2 phones I turned in for the Black Friday deal with Xfinity Mobile. I did open a ticket with the reward service company, 800-526-3268, on 3/25/22 requesting status and payment. I had to wait two weeks for them to check the status. Finally at the end of April my $900 visa reward card was sent out. I would suggest opening a trouble ticket. All of my inquires before opening the trouble ticket where meaningless.

This what is happening with me too , I have been following up with xfinity sibce 3 weeks and every agent has different answers with them . Not even one agent can answer what happening to $450 visa card , This is a scam and i would not recommend anyone tp join xfinity mobile . I was told i will get the card in 90 -120 days and i called after 5 months to understand the status of my card but no they dont have answers . 70% of there agents does not know how to check profile and keep asking same question again and again .. what was the offer , when was the offer provided . They can't check what offer was tagged to a profile . Xfinity mobile has a ridiculous system & wierd customer care agents .. most would do pep talks but not actual work .

Is anybody (Leadership) from Xfinity reading these posts!! I can't believe that this problem has been going on since
last year? My ticket number is # [Edited: "Personal Information"]. 3 different people at Xfinity now have that number.
1- the store where I traded in my phones 2- I also sent it thru the help line 3- I also entered it thru Chat with online Rep.
It has been 2 weeks since I was given this number with no response. Are there any Attorneys on this Chat? I would
join a class action suit in a minute!

I’m going through the same thing. I traded in a perfectly good iPhone because of this $450 trade in gift card deal. I’ve called several times, getting no where. I have an Xfinity store in my town and I’ve got in several times. Each time is the same the desk person takes all my info. and then says they will have their manager look into it. I even had one of them give me his work phone number and said to call him if I hadn’t heard back from him by Monday. Well it’s been about 3 Monday’s, I’ve called him several times with no answer. I leave a message each time and he never calls back. I don’t know where to go from here, $450 is a lot of money and I had it in my budget for April since the deal did state that you had to stay active with Xfinity for 90 days and then you’d get your gift card. I thought I could trust this company to uphold their part of a deal that they came up with and advertised heavily.

I also faced the same issue and my friend as well. This is a big fraud by Xfinity. I visited their store and they don't provide any information.

This is a fraud scheme by them. I also faced the similar issue; trying to contact them since last 5 month but no luck. Visited their store and they do not provide any information. My friend also faced same issue. He has not got his cash back yet.
