Apple Watch 5 won’t activate

Have spent the last 2 days trying to activate my new Apple Watch 5 to my existing Xfinity mobile account.  After several hours on hold with customer service, they offered no help except to tell me to go to the store for resolution. Spent an hour at the store today and after several attempts by the rep to connect, they called their internal team and we're told it was a known problem that watches are not activating and no timeframe for resolution given.   Anyone else experiencing this issue?  How do I get my watch activated?

Xfinity DO SOMETHING. Look at all the people who have commented on posts just like this and you closed them !!! Why would you close a forum where people are still having trouble???????? My story: It has been one year of tickets and then xfinity loses the tickets. ONE YEAR and I still have no cellular service on my Apple Watch. I guess I have to cancel xfinity mobile and find a better provider

Same problem. New Apple Watch SE, still couldn't activate cellular on my xfinity account. Have been trying for 2 days, even the staff in the store don't know what to do.

@user_35bbe2 I figured it out. This is how sleazy Xfinity Mobile is: since March 2021 I have had tickets open with Xfinity Mobile to get cellular on my Apple Watch. At the time that I enrolled in the plan, I told them my enrollment was contingent upon the Apple Watch getting cellular. They lied and said yes.

after 1 year a few months, they finally referred me to the “Advanced care team,” who were immediately able to tell me that I haven’t been able to add the watch because I am “not eligible for new lines.” I said, but I want to pay you to add a new line. They said no. That they will let me know when I’m eligible. They said it’s based on credit etc. here’s the thing: I have perfect credit. My credit score is so good it makes my friends mad at me. I am ANAL about paying everything on time and in advance. I have been with Verizon and AT&T in the past and they will let you buy as many lines as you want because you are GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY in exchange for a service. Simple.

long story short: the representatives you talk to are not well trained enough to identify why your issue is an issue. Then the sleazy company policies keep you from using your phone plan the way you desire.

  Switching to T mobile today.
