$300 Rebate

I switched my internet, cable, and cellular service to Xfinity/Comcast at the end of last year and I was told I would be receiving a $300 rebate after 3 months of service. However after not receiving it, I called and they didn't even have a record of it on my account so they started a ticket and told me it would take 7-14 business days and to call back on Mar 30th. Yet when I called back, I was told to call back again on Apr 8th. I wasn't able to reach a person and didn't receive a call back so I called again today, Apr 12th, and was told it would take (another) 7-14 business days. When I inquired about switching my services back to Direct TV, I was told I would have to buy out my contact. So I have to honor MY contact but THEY don't? Got it.

Hey there, I am so sorry to hear you have not experienced the world class service we are known for, we always want your interactions with us to be smooth and satisfactory. The rebate you are referring to, was this in the form of a VISA gift card? Those do require the services be installed within 30 days of signing up, maintaining that exact level of services for 90 days (no upgrade or downgrading of services), and on time payments for the first 90 days after signing up with the plan. From there your prepaid card will be processed in approximately 12 weeks (90 days) from the date of your completed Xfinity installation. Once processed, it may take an additional four to six weeks to be mailed. You can expect to receive the prepaid card within 16 to 18 weeks from your installation date.

Thanks for the information. That is the promotion/rebate that I'm addressing. I knew about and have completed all of the prerequisite requirements on my end, however you are the first person that has ever mentioned the additional wait times (they always said 7-14 business days). I didn't manage to get through to the rewards dept this afternoon and finally found out what the problem was. Apparently my ticket was created incorrectly last month and they didn't correct it until last week, starting my wait all over. But she did get "approval to expedite my ticket", so she says now I just have to wait an additional 6-8 weeks for it to be mailed out. That would put it at 4 months past completing the preset requirements and 7 months after switching my phone service/signing the contract, and that's IF I actually receive it. So I stand behind my original statement, don't hold me to the letter of a contract while you (they) play fast and loose with it. Scam, sham, flip, & flop, whichever works.....
