XFINITYWiFi HOTSPOT ISSUE
My Xfinity Wi-Fi Hotspot would not connect and kept disconnecting. This what I did to correct my issue and IT WORKED!!!!! I copied & posted what helped me below.
"To fix consistent Xfinity WiFi hotspot login issues, start by clearing the network, updating your credentials, and ensuring your account is active. Most issues are resolved by selecting "Forget This Network" in Wi-Fi settings, restarting the device, and reinstalling the Xfinity app to configure the secure auto-connect profile.
Here are the most effective solutions:
- Forget and Reconnect: Go to your Wi-Fi settings, select "xfinitywifi," and choose "Forget This Network".
- Use the Xfinity App: Download the Xfinity app to set up automatic login. Make sure to grant the app necessary permissions to install the profile.
- Remove Old Apps: Delete the old "Xfinity WiFi Hotspots" app if you have it installed, as it can conflict with the new Xfinity app.
- Check Account Permissions: Verify your Xfinity credentials and that
- your service tier includes hotspot access, as some lower tiers do not.
- Check for Multiple IDs: If your Xfinity ID is linked to multiple accounts, it may cause login failures. Check xfinity.com to manage and link the correct account.
- Disable VPN: Turn off any VPN services, as they can interfere with captive portal logins. Android Specific: Ensure you allow "Wi-Fi control" for the Xfinity app in your phone’s settings.
iOS Specific: Remove old profiles and allow the Xfinity app to install a new one."
