I'm having the same issue. I removed the app, unplugged it for 5 minutes, reloaded the app and it worked. I turned the TV off, turned it back on and I have the 404 error again, beyond frustrating.
I am seeing the same problem with both my LG TVs. LG oled.
I removed the Xfinity Beta app, turned off my TV. Unplugged my modem ... Waited 5 min. Plugged in my modem, let it restart. Turned on my TV, installed the Xfinity Beta app. You will get prompted to go to Xfinity.com/activate.
It works again! I have not turned of my TV yet. Would totally s@#$ if I have to do this every time I turn on my TV!
I started getting the 404 nginx page when loading the app about a week ago. The uninstalling/reinstalling tips did not help, but the app will randomly start working again sometimes even if I don't reinstall. I'm only interested the app on my tv, so it's worthless to me if the app won't work. I'm very unhappy with the service and am planning on cancelling xfinity stream for something more reliable.
@Rustyben I am encountering the same problem as @unesse . My TV is directly connected to my home router via Ethernet cable, so no wifi involved. I have other apps inside the TV running fine: Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Prime. Something is wrong with xfinity streaming
@unesse I have been hitting the same problem on a LG webOS TV UK6090PUA for the past week. Sometimes I get the 404 error, and sometimes I do not. Any good feedback from @ComcastStream yet?
No follow up with me, and everything seems to be working for me now. I’m such a techno dummy I can’t even find my last correspondence! I found a Comcast specialist in another thread and contacted him directly. He asked me to tag @ComcastStream in the thread and said he’d work with the team to triage the problem.
Update...the reboot worked this time. I hope @ComcastStream can debug the Beta streaming app soon. I went all in on my LG OLED smart tv to have wireless access to my cable programming (spoke to several Comcast reps before committing!) - which costs me TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS A MONTH!$! This might wind up costing me more in the long run!
@ComcastStream this is lame. Same issues on and off for past 2 weeks, and I already pay $240+ a month for Comcast services. What a joke. There is something wrong on the server end.... they obviously don't care or they would have sorted it out by now. This is what happens with a monopoly: no competition = no customer service.
Have been having this same 404 error on all my LG TVs for the last 10 days or so. I've tried resetting the wifi, and I erase and redownload the app almost daily to be able to watch TV. It's clearly not the TV, every single other streaming app on my TVs works just fine, it's got to be something on Comcast's end. This is unacceptable!
Adding one more voice here @ComcastStream as I am also experiencing the same issue. Just bought LG OLED and intermittently get this error. All suggested solves above are temporary and problem persists. Please solve. Inexcusable.
