Xfinity app wants me to active already activated modem

Basically what the title says. You guys are forcing me to use the Xfinity app instead of the My Account App, but every time I start it up it asks me to set up my modem, which has been set up for years. Can't even do anything else with the dang app cause of it. I am not going to reactivate something that is activated and risk screwing anything up. I have Uninstaller and reinstalled multiple times. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I also have the same problem with my phone. The constant 3 dot flashing screen on my Droid which never changes.

The iPhone shows the 3 dots for a few then gives me the option to get my modem going...I don't need to get my modem set up it's alrdy running.

Hello @user_d883e7, thanks for reaching out for help with the Xfinity App. By chance have you already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app on your devices, or going through the activation to see if it will clear out that prompt? Also, are you using an Xfinity provided modem, or are you using your own modem?

@XfinityRyanE Hi - I posted a few back in this thread about my previous experience as well as what I saw today when i tried again today. I am using an xfinity modem, which has been active for over a year

Adding a bit of info I am not using any of the xfinity wifi, I bridge thru to my own wifi devices. But that being said the old app works fine, and since it actually has a place to show service statuses  it shows them correctly.  so I dont see why the new app shouldnt do the same.  But figured I would chime in on your question above.

As with others in this thread, reluctant to go thru activation for something that is already active and working, esp in a new app that has some 'challenges'. and given what it would take to get it addressed if it breaks something.
