Xfinity app upgrade to assign devices to a pod

Is there an upgrade available or comming to use the xfinity app to assign a device to a pod?  I bought my first pod today thinking from all I could read it was plug and play.  Well, that's not possible because there appears to be to manyzdevice from different  sources and apparently no automation standard for the task of joining an existing evolving network in the light of mesh!  For the aware purchaser. There needs to be that option!  My first impression of the app was fantastic!  Tells   me what I needed to know is going on!  Kudos to your developer! I could I dentify the problem right away with thus app, my wifi dB meter and a few restarted devices.  The newer stuff does a better job in general ( like cell phones) with the pod, but THAT'S MY GUESTS and not my infrastructure!  I have over 20 devices already and growing to manage and 8 that are core equipment.  I have started running temporary cat5e cables with connectors on the ends  in my new house because lots of black cable cable with no ends was never hooked up when I got my comcast service...

I need answer or I have to take it back....

Hey there @user_8ed904, thank you for reaching out to us today. I'll be happy to assist you with your xFi Pod concern. At the moment, there is no upgrade/update that will be coming to the app for that particular feature. If you go to https://comca.st/36Z0D9O, you can read our FAQ page about our pods. With our xFi Pods they do require that you have one WiFi network name. Your network will still have a 2.4 and 5 Ghz band but the pod will separate your devices for you to ensure they are on the best connection possible. You can see if your device is connected your gateway or Pod by using the Xfinity app. Once you're in the app, go to the "Connect" section and scrolling down to the "Devices" section. The connection type is listed under the device name. I hope this information helps. Let me know if you have any other questions at the moment.
