Xfinity app on ipad is unusable

I have downloaded the Xfinity app to my iPad but it is not usable. Why does it only use a phone sized part of the screen with a tiny keyboard?  You need to update the app io use the full screen and a normal keyboard.  I will not be using this app until that has been fixed. See attached picture.
