Xfinity app not working to activate internet

We were told to activate our internet that we needed to do that on the xfinity app. We downloaded the app tried to log in and keep coming back to the same error saying “Sorry, we’re having some trouble. Please chat with agent for help with your activation.” Tried chatting and keeps going in circle.

I've been having the same experience. The Xfinity App has not worked well at all and will not activate. Calling customer support results in being repeatedly told by a recorded voice to download and use the App. I fear Xfinity is becoming hopeless in terms of actually wanting to help customers.
