Xfinity App ask to upgrade service/equipment

I just got a Xfinity gateway model XB3 and activated it, while I'm trying to set up parental control and some other features, it prompted me to go to xfinity.com/myxfi, that site subsequently asked me to download the Xfinity App which I did.

At launch the Xfinity app says "To access Xfinity, you'll need to upgrade your service/equipment", I hit "Upgrade Now" button since it's the only option, it took me to customer.xfinity.com, after signing in it says "You cannot access restricted areas of My Account". Tried several times more and it prompted me to call 866-694-9415 since my unit is covered by my HOA's bulk contract, called but it doesn't really help.

What can I do about it?
