xfi vs third party router

so currently i have an older asus 802.11ac router. i am going to be upgrading to comcasts gigabit service and was wondering are the only benefits to using xfi the monitoring and control?

Does it do any automatic QoS or bandwidth shaping ala ereo? i know they do offer plume to go with the gateway but i don't think i will need those as i live in a 1 family home and my current router is fine.
