xFi site "going away"?
I see this when I login to the xFi website:
"The xFi website will be going away on 06/07/22. You can still enjoy the same great features by downloading the free Xfinity xFi app to manage your WiFi and devices. Get it now on the App Store or Google Play."
That's a terrible idea! Why would you do that?

The only option since Xfinity does not care about there customers is to either switch services or buy your own modem. Due to xfinity being the only broadband here I will be buying my own modem. Seems they needed to find a way for the top execs to pocket more money so XFI on the web is the first to go.

It seems like more and more businesses are putting almost any effort to make customers happy. Basically, there is so little competition and the service is so critical for almost everyone that Comcast and do whatever keeps costs down and boosts revenue because there is no other provider to switch to. We need the government back involved to split up the ISP and encourage competition soon.

What is a customer who accesses their email and account on desktop supposed to do?! I don't have a smart phone and don't want one. How am I supposed to access my account? This is my primary e-mail for all work related things. I work on a laptop, not some tiny mobile device. Please help!

This is pure nonsense. Many people do not use their cell phones to access the Internet. Another example of Comcast sticking it to consumers.

Because they can. Xfinity (Comcast) was once the most hated corporation in the country. They fixed that. However, now they want to get back to it. I have a cell phone, but I prefer to sign on to Xfinity via my pc. Bigger screen if nothing else. I have seen in the recent past that Xfinity has changed their attitude, and they just don't care anymore. Mostly because they have become so large there is nothing anyone can do about it. So they want to make your experience as difficult as possible. This is sad.

The sad part is that Xfinity could get a negative comment from every one of their customers, and they would STILL take the site away. Believe me. They do NOT care. What a shame. I WAS one of their biggest fans.

It doesn't matter how many features they put on the phone. The fact it it's tiny screen and small keyboard and it's hard and frustrating to use. Why can't you have an app and a website and let people choose what they want.

Will this also effect the email? Will we not be able to access the email through the web site at:
https://my.xfinity.com/?cid=cust
I use the email daily and it will be a massive pain to change everything to a different email, but will have to if I cannot access it through a PC for obvious reasons. Just want some confirmation before I start changing email and login information for various accounts.

I agree that this is also a TERRIBLE idea!!! I can log into all my other accounts from my MacBook Pro or iMac, which I prefer, because it is much easier than managing accounts from an iPhone app with tiny text and limited management options. I have already considered switching from Comcast to our local phone company for Internet and dumping cable because we pay for a bunch of channels we don't care about. Comcast also jacks up rates every 1-2 years, and I have to call and waste significant time to get the bill lowered. Our power company is planning to extend 10 GB fiber Internet coverage to our neighborhood. We will probably dump Comcast when this happens.
