xFi "forgets" my active time limit settings
This has happened repeated times, usually many times during a week, so much so that I'm ready to abandon trying to use the active time limit feature of xFi and resort to just Red Forman style yelling at my kids to get off their game systems.
I have used xFi both via app and web to set active time limits for my kids' devices on the internet. This seems to work OK for some days and then I'll notice that my kids have been online for longer than their limit. I pick up my phone, open the xFi app, and discover that the time limit is turned off. I reset it only to have the same process repeat some days later.
I thought that perhaps my children were using one of the parent computers to log in to xFi and turn off the limit so I changed the password and set all parent PCs to not remember the password or stay logged in at xfinity.com. This did not help the issue. Active time limits still mysteriously "shut off" in xFi. When I go back into the app or website to turn them back on, it even remembers that I had both weekday and weekend set to 3 hours (maybe that's a coincidental default).
This is a selling feature of Xfinity internet and xFi. Please make it work properly and once turned on, stay on.

Try the cable box and lock that down. That is what my kid was doing. You can change limits through the cable box too. Without a password, Make sure you add one there too.
