xFi advanced security

Trying to connect to xfinity.com/myxfi to activate xFi advanced security and getting error message "There's a connection problem" and then "Your Gateway may be offline".  Been on the phone with comcast for 1 1/2 hours and told they can't help.  Could someone help or advise what to do?

What model gateway do you have?

Have you tried rebooting the gateway to see if it clears the issue up?

Thank you for responding.  I had rebooted twice but tried it again and problem solved.
