Why is there not an app or a way to view your camera's and download video on the computer?

One down side of having Xfinity home, is when you are trying to wait for someone to show up, i.e. Family, Friends, or a contractor, you have to turn on your app on your phone, pull up the camera and leave it on.  The camera displayed on the screen of the Home security system can be up to a minute or two behind.  Why, oh WHY isn't there an app or way to be able to pull up the live feed on your computer?  I mean this makes the most sense, as most people use computers so much, why isn't there away to be able to do it?

I should be able to log into anywhere and have access, why is this so complicated?  If you don't want to build a platform for it, then just have a website emulate the app and let us use it that way.  This can't be to complicated.  So why isn't there an app for the PC to access our cameras?
