Website control by device

I am trying to limit what times certain devices can access X (aka twitter), Facebook, Youtube, etc. On the app the parental controls only allow me to schedule downtime. I want to just limit what the device can access during certain times, as they still need access to the internet for long periods of time for studying. Through the app I have not been able to do that and the gateway website will not let me login in as it says "Username or Password is incorrect" but I have confirmed I am entering the right information.

Hi there, @SMMz1, I'm sorry for the trouble you are experiencing. When you tried that through the APP, you stated that you were not able to do that, are you getting an error?-Richard

@XfinityRichard No the app only allows me to set a downtime for the whole device or profile that the device is assigned to. There is no option for me to limit the device from accessing a specific url. For example, I want to limit my school computer being able to access youtube so I am not tempted to watch while I am studying.

I was able to get on the Gateway website but applying the URL does not seem to be working. I still can access youtube after applying the website from being able to be accessed.

Thank you, @SMMz1 I'm sorry to hear that, as a student, I know exactly where you're coming from. That would be the only way to block certain websites. When you apply the URL does it give you any type of error since it's not blocking that website?-Richard

@XfinityRichard No error message. Maybe it's because I had to login in weird. It was not accepting my xfinity credentials so I logged in with the username: admin and the password: password. From there it prompted to make a new password, which I did. It was recognizing my wifi when I did that but I was wondering if that maybe was messing up the application of the blocking the website.

Thank you, @SMMz1 that very well could have been the issue if you were not logging in correctly. Since you did that, were you able to get that Youtube blocked?-Richard

No luck so far. Still not letting me login in with my regular credentials and still not blocking the sites.
