Streaming Apps Not Playing Through HDMI eARC

I have a new LG smart TV with a Sonos sound bar connected via HDMI eARC and two wireless Sonos surround speakers.  Sound from the Xfinity TV channels is great, but when choosing any of the streaming apps for content, the audio playback is terrible.

Watching Thursday Night Football last night on Amazon Prime, I noticed that I was only getting sound from the soundbar, but it was monotone.  I switched from the Xfinity Prime app to the TV's Prime app, selecting the same program, and the sound was back to surround stereo through all speakers.

Is  there a setting or connection that I'm missing?

Good afternoon user_cho739. You have reached the right team, and I will be happy to help. I did look up some information for you to check as a first move. If you can please try these steps:

- For Sonos: plug one Sonos speaker into your Xfinity gateway with Ethernet, then reconnect other Sonos speakers via Wi‑Fi to stabilize audio.
- For Xfinity TV audio issues (if soundbar or TV connected to Xfinity devices): check SAP/MTS settings on TV/DVD/VCR and set SAP/MTS to Off or Normal (Stereo). On TV Adapter/Box: open Setup > Audio Setup and set Default Audio Track/language and use “Set volume to optimal stereo” if available. Repeat balancing if needed and try muting/unmuting with the box remote. If multiple devices sit between box and TV, check each device’s audio settings.

Please let me know if this helps any, or if additional support is needed.
