Skip the XFINITY app

How can I manage my router and network AND NEVER USE THE XFINITY APP again.  I hate managing everything on my phone, how can I manage EVERYTHING through the admin web page again.  This is painful.

Does https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/admin-tool-access help?

Absolutely not.  While the admin page allows for about 50-80% of the functionality that it used to, it blocks critical aspects and is so much more painful to use than other such pages.  For example, the admin page doesn't allow changes to the SSID, that must be done through the app.  Setting up secure passwords through the app defeats the use of password managers making everything that much more difficult.

The app seems to be a concession that XFINITY believes it customers are too stupid to use normal router software and the admin page seems to exist to handle some advanced configurations that most people won't use.

It's not that I can't make the changes (port forwarding, wifi SSID changes, etc) using the app but its ridiculous to have to use the app on a small phone when I have a full sized screen on my computer.

Managing the router part of the modem used to be doable but had a learning curve, the app makes many normal things easier but advanced operations frustratingly difficult (all on a phone sized screen).
