Self activation issues; can’t even log in to app to get started

Hello I am attempting to self activate internet with my own router/modem. I am able to access my account on a browser however when I attempt to log in to the app, I get the following message:

Access not Authorized

You signed in successfully, but you must be an Xfinity user to enjoy this service.

If your still having issues activating your internet through My Account App, please send me a private message with your name and service address by clicking on the chat icon at the top right of the page. Then select Xfinity Support to begin the chat session.
