Re: Parental Control Failure: Cannot block websites through 10.0.0.1

Had been having the same issues  with "Blocked Sites" but for my router (Cisco DPC3941T) found out that "Blocked Keywords" does block the site you'd want to block. e.g. simply use "youtube", "facebook" etc. as the keyword. And the "Trusted Computers" will still be able to get through. So far, so fine.

However what has recently baffled me is "netflix" (the reason I found this forum look for an answer!) Somehow that one is getting blocked for ALL the computers, Trusted or Not. Among the 8 sites I am blocking with the "Blocked Keywords" setting, this is the only site that is getting blocked for all computers.

Also having the same problem. It seems like keywords works but the trusted device portion isn't working. Atleast it works better than the site block which is pretty much a waste.  Someone PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

Hello we will look into it and sorry again about the trouble you have been experiencing blocking websites using 10.0.0.1 portal.

I'm having the same problem with being able to block destracting websites while we are trying to get schoolwork done.  This is primarily an issue because they are home due to coronavirus and thus have to do schoolwork from home.

Additionally, I need to be able to do this in case the parental controls lets something slip through that I don't want them to have access to.

Hello we understand your frustration however it takes new updates of software to be able to implent changes and or updates to new features.  We are aware of your issue and our enginnering team in Philadelphia said that we have tickets attached already and they are working on it.

I'm still seeing the issue where a block of a keyword blocks it for devices listed as trusted. It's frustrating when I only want certain sites disabled for my kids machines and not the rest of the house. Is there a fix for this underway?
