Re: 2.4GHz WiFi signal keeps disappearing
Mike started dropping the 2.4 ghz signal the last 3 days around 5am. Resetting the modem/router restores it but I don’t want to have to reset every morning. What specifically did you do to resolve? Thanks.

Then I would call for support - they may work with you online. If on site, tell them that they should plan to be there for a long time .... or come back each next iteration (day?)

As to how to debug it, I would use this sequence,
1. Unplug all repeaters
2. Set the band to narrow band (default is wide band)
3. Scan the used frequencies around you, find a clean channel, and restart modem/router
4. Observe whether problem is remedied
5a. If so, put half the repeaters back, and observe again
If it keeps working, add the other half, if it fails, take half the repeaters back out (binary search)
If you only have a few, add them one by one
If it fails again, and you have it down to one repeater (or even one device), reset this device and connect it again to the router (rei-initialize).
(Each repeater will connect a few devices, that is your next search area).
5b. If it fails, then a device which is directly connected to the modem/router is causing the conflict
Analyze your device list and see if you can find a culprit device. Turn it off should remedy the problem.
As to what causes this behavior in the modem/router, it is very unclear. The behavior may change with new firmware, but if it is the same, two symptoms emerge: frequent (daily) early am reboots and oscillating signal strength are the two that come to mind.
Keep in mind that after a reboot all connected devices will reconnect. Some will connect faster than others, and the issue may not come up immediately. Even the modem/router may have a delay in changing its behavior.
I think of it as a bug - if the firmware leads to an eventual reboot, it could be made smart enough to log as to why, and presenting this information with more detail. E.g. if the conflicting IP address is know, a simple network scan will point you to the conflict device. I am assuming that it is caused by a concflicting device.

FWIW an AFAIK, these 2 functions can no longer be changed by the end user.
