peacock freezing

While watching a movie on Peacock, ex:Fall Guy, during the mid movie commercial the box freezes and has to be restarted. Happens only on Peacock.

Hi there, @user_ftx0u7! Thanks for reaching out about Peacock. We are glad to find out why that is happening and get it fixed! Are you also watching on a TV box? Does it freeze during the commercial on all programs/movies? When you exit the app and go back in, does that same program/movie freeze again or does it let the commercial finish playing when you access it a 2nd time?

user_v4tcef Good morning, and welcome to our Xfinity Forums! I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing some difficulties with your Peacock. I'm happy to help you get to the bottom of the issue, and get it ironed out. Can you please share a bit more details, such as are you watching it on your TV box, are you streaming, and have you tried any troubleshooting steps? This help to know where to pick up at, thank you!

@XfinityKassie Thanks!  It's weird.  My whole screen turns black, hard frozen, until I reboot my Xi6.  As far as I can tell, it only happens on the new show, "The Burbs".  I've run other programs on Peacock, as recently as yesterday, (the series "Ted") and let it run through commercials for a while without issue.  I've done Peacock TV shows and they have no issues either. (Always on the Xi6)

I do sense that it happens with commercials (and maybe switching resolutions from the commercial back to "the Burbs" --totally a guess).  It only happens with Peacock on Xfinity, not my other streamers on Xfinity), and only on this show.

user_v4tcef Gotcha! Thank you for the additional details, it's extremely helpful! Have you tried to go through the Xfinity App, and do a system refresh yet? Sometimes if customers are just using the Xi6, and not another box, it helps to do the system refresh if you experience issues such as freezing. Are you able to give that a try, and let me know if you see any improvement?

I will try that.  For the record, I of course have the big hardwired box too (and a wired uplink to a xfi gateway puck that connects to the Xi6).

Are you saying to refresh from the Xfinity app on the Xi6 or from within, like, the ios app?

We appreciate you giving it a try! We would be referring to the troubleshooting through the Xfinity mobile phone app specifically.
