Paused devices still connecting and able to use the Internet fo hours on end

The issue I am experiencing has been reported by many customers already a year ago, but then the thread was simply closed by a “customer experience expert”

without a resolution offered in the thread:

Devices paused through the xfinity home interface are still connecting to the Internet for hours on end, making parental control factually impossible without a physical confrontation. This is a serious issue when dealing with defiant youngsters who are physically taller & stronger than the parent.

Welcome to our community forum, @user_8e3bea! I love being able to use the pause function when it's time for bed so I want to make sure you're able to use the feature as well! Are the paused devices able to connect to your home Wi-Fi or are they connecting to a different network? What happens when you pause the devices? You can view some helpful tips about managing the devices on your network here.
