Need Manual Control of Wifi Channel Settings

Hello,

All the manual wifi channel settings on 10.0.0.1 are greyed out and are not available on Xfi app. Can I please have access to these settings? I need them to get a device on my network to work.

Thank you

hi @ckbanta,

Your gateway now has WiFi Intelligence which means those settings are automatically managed. Can you let me know which setting you're trying to manual update and what type of device are you trying to connect?

Thanks,

Hana

Yes I have a Brother printer that can't see the network. One poster said that the router has to be on a fixed channel in order to be able to connect it. I'd really prefer to have manual control over the network channels anyway, as it seems it doesn't always choose the optimal channel. Thanks for your help!

Thank you for the reply. I looked at their website and there is no setup program for Mac that I can find.

HAHAHA  That's the best joke I've heard in a while.

Notice all these threads popping up about the same problem.  The system IS NOT intelligent to decide proplerly.  Comcast has been messing this up for 2 years now and has started forcing the issue on everyone now it seems.  Give us the control back, it's SUPER EASY FOR THEM TO DO.  (Comcast) just do what people are asking and let us control our own dang network if we want to.  Seriously.

To the original poster...good luck in getting this changed.  The techs are clueless as to what you even actually want to do or why.  Try getting to a Level 2 tech and they'll at least understand what you want, not that they'll probably be able to fix it.

I HATE being the guy who keeps posting this same gripe over and over and over in these threads, but NO ONE at comcast is listening.  No one.
