Locating wireless printer
I just replaced my gateway with a new Techniolor CGM4140 gateway and it will not communicate with the HP Offiejet 6000 (circa 2009).I've tried many things including restarting gateway and calling Comcast to no avail. Is this printer just to old? It worked with last motorola router arris 6580. The old Motorola transmitted a 192.168.xxx signal for the printer and it worked fine, but the new Technicolor only transmits a 10.0..xxx signal that the Hp isn't able to see ,I'm guessing. Any one out there have any ideas?

Hello I understand what you are going through and you want to make sure the network that you can connect the printer to is the 2.4ghz network. When it comes to 3rd party devices it would be best to contact HP as well and see what they can tell you about their printer.
You can also click on this link and make sure you separated the networks 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

The two WiFi bands have now been combined into one with the Comcast gateway devices. Some older devices get confused and don't know how to talk to combined bands.
If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Associate the printer with the 2.4 band's SSID (broadcast name) and password.
