internet password

My phone will not stay on wifi connection. I put it on but it will not stay on I have to enter some kind of a password to keep my interney on. I have been trying for days trying to figure out why my phone will not stay on internet

Are you connecting to your own home network's WiFi broadcast or an Xfinity public WiFi hotspot ?
