Infinite Login Loop While trying to activate service

I'm trying to activate my internet service. When I open the xfinity app it tells me to sign in. I sign in. It sends me back to the original sign in page. When I click sign in again, it says signed in as xxzaleon8xx!, which is my xfinity id. When I click continue. It sends me back to the first sign in screen. and repeat.

So far I've tried logging in on my xfinity id, and my email address. Same issue with both.

I tried logging into the xfinity stream app. It let me log in there, but no change on the xfinity app.

I found another post that showed a link that had you sign up and then link your new account to your current one. Didn't help.

Cleared cookies/cache. Didn't help.

Resetting all devices. Didn't help.

EDIT: I reached out to xfinity on reddit and received a response there. I figured out how to access the app on my PC so I'm editing both there and here so that it might help anyone who had this issue in the future.

  1. Download and install Bluestacks, which is an android emulator. If it works skip to 3).

  2. On my computer I had to enable virtualization to be able to run bluestacks, so if you need to as well these are the steps I took:

I just googled my motherboard and how to enable virtualization and the google AI told me what to look for. It was under advanced CPU settings and labeled SVM. To get to your BIOS settings you have to restart your computer and press a button as it loads. The button you need will flash on the screen when you first boot up your computer. It depends on the motherboard which button you have to press.

Mine was F8, but I've seen F1,F10,F12, the Del key, etc. You'll need to figure out which one it is.

3) In Bluestacks you will have to create a new instance, because the default isn't compatible with the app. Open Bluestacks with the multi-instance manager icon that should have been installed on your desktop. Click instance in the corner and you need to create an instance that is Android 11 (the default is Pie 64-bit which isn't compatible.)

4) Run this instance and open the shop. Search, then download the xfinity app. From there it let me log in and use the app normally.

You should be able to find good tutorials online that will be helpful as well if anything I wrote was unclear.
