How can I disable the xfinity push notifications that are just advertisements.
I use the xfinity app for notifications when I have a new bill. I don't appreciate the spam push notifications. I checked the privacy center and notification settings in the app but found no way to disable this spam.

I'm on Android also but unfortunately don't have those options shared above. There seems to be no way to turn off push notifications in the app - I can only turn off all notifications at the system level. And yes, I've followed all the advice above but I simply don't have those options available to me under Account Settings. I just updated my app too trying to figure this out and no luck. Has anyone reported Xfinity to the FTC for not allowing users to opt out of marketing?

I just received a notification on my Apple Watch (running the '26 OS) that xfinity is offering a discount on a samsung galaxy. The latest of many xfinity annoyances. I too have been through the xfinity app settings only to find that there is no way to turn off marketing or promotional notifications. I have unsubscribed from all marketing on the website and I still receive these annoying push notifications on my phone and watch. There's no way to disable them without blocking all notifications, including from xfinity home security (since they've moved everything to the xfinity app, instead of the former home app).
Xfinity "engineers", if you need help figuring out what iOS APIs to invoke to add a radio button to disable marketing/ads, I can help you. Or just ask an LLM. In any case, stop this nonsense ASAP. As others have pointed out, you're violating Apple's TOS and risk being penalized on the app store with update reviews etc.

MASSIVE XFINITY FAILURE!!!!!!!!!! So many false instructions which don't work or are just AI [Edited: "Language"]. What a joke calling this "support".
Seems the only fix is to turn off ALL push notifications.

I'm also experiencing this same problem on iOS. I even got on customer support chat and they couldn't help me, instead they tried to sell me a new product. I'm considering submitting a terms violation report to Apple.

So basically xfinity does not want you to be able to control the [Edited: "Language"] they push at you. The virtual assistant is worse than useless as is this so-called customer support. If there were an alternative to xfinity I would happily go there.

For Android (I'm on samsung s26), I had to enable "notification categories" in my general android system settings first in order for that marketing option to appear.
Android system settings > notifications > advanced settings > "Manage notification categories for each app" > enable the checkbox/slider switch
Then
Go to your android home screen > swipe up to list all apps > long press on xfinity app > click the info icon > Notifications > Notification categories > you should see marketing & xfinity assistant as options

There are were NO MARKETING OPTIONS at Account > Account Settings > Notification Settings.
There are were 3 types of Notifications: Email, Text and Push.
Each of those has options for Network Access and Network Activity.
iPhone/iOS 26.3.1
However! I just went to the Apps Store and there was an update to XFinity 5.72.1 available.
I now have a "Promotions and Savings" setting at Account > Account Settings > Notification Settings > Push Notification
