Does xFi router unpause when a computer reboots.

We pause our kids internet sometimes. This feature is why we go the xFi router. It seems that when my son reboots his PC, the internet is unpaused. I searched this forum for this issue but didn't find this issue but did find many posts about troubles with pausing. The odd thing is that Comcast support people don't seem to know much about the xFi router and pausing capabilites but the Comcast TV commericals publicize it a lot. Clearly the marketing and sales people know this is a winnering feature for their custoemrs. It would be nice if the whole organization go aligned on it and hardened it and made it more robust. I'd pay a monthly fee if this could be better. It seems like if Comcast prioritiezed this, they could knock if out fo the park.

Hey, jelaplan! Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on the forums. I totally agree with you that the xFi features are super handy, and I know how important it is for them to work properly!

I had the chance to review this further. It looks like you're only able to pause WiFi on a device that's connected to the home network, so when your son is rebooting his PC, he would not be connected to the network during that time.

Does he have the PC set to connect to your home network automatically when it comes back on?
