Disney+ App hangs during commercial breaks

Hey all,

Recently resubscribed to Disney+ and it works like well, [Edited: "Language"], via the Xfinity App. It tends to hang during the commercial breaks. Inevitably have to exit the App, restart and hope the commercial break completes. Anyone else have the same issue?

user_g7ac1y Thank you for letting us know you are encountering freezing on your Disney + and Hulu apps. Since your issue is impacting both Disney+ and the Hulu app, it may be more connection-related. How are you using the apps, and have you done any troubleshooting already for the issue?

I found a solution to the Disney ad freeze on Xfinity. I had contacted both Disney and Xfinity and tried everything but it did not work.  I have internet through Comcast as well.  I have the Disney plus app directly on my VIzio TV.  So I use the Vizio DIsney app via the internet and do not go through the Comcast box.  The difference is remarkable.  I am no expert but it seems like the comcast cable box does not get along with the Xfinity based Disney app. Try your smartTV's DIsney app instead of the Comcast Disney app. Hope this works for you and if does, I think Xfinity owes me a major reward for solving the problem.

Came here to report the same problem. From what I read on Reddit, this actually seems to be a disney+ issue and has been ongoing for at least 3 years. It’s ridiculous having to reopen the app and then restart the same ads.
