Desktop xfinity home app

I've been reading thru the past questions/replies about getting an Xfinity desktop app. And the response's from the "Xfinity reps" were that the apps are for android systems devices only.

At least that's what I think that's the standard response is. So this is still a problem but the stream closed back in 2023.

So I am guessing and my attempt to download the Xfinity Home App to my laptop that I use exclusively as my "desktop" is still not available. WHY?

Why isn't a google ply app available for those of us that use a desktop or laptop as our primary home computer? This is a form of discrimination to us users and yes I do have the app on my mobile devices (ie: phone and tablet) But I prefer to use my laptop (Xfinity Internet, Chrome, Google, Windows 11, etc) for monitoring my security system or downloading camera videos from what my system sees. To me having a quick method of access to this system on my laptop is very important to my sense of additional security.

I can download actual apps as long as they are available for a pc and I do prefer that opposed to having an address book/files of site listings.

So Xfinity bot people (since the response is a canned standard one) please tell us uninformed mere morals why can't we have an app for our desktops and laptops that aren't android driven?

Why?

Hello Nookers2013 thank you so much for taking the time to reach us here via our Xfinity Community Forums regarding your desire to see a PC downloadable version of the Xfinity App on Google Play Store.  While this is not an option at the present time, that may change in the future.

Same here. Just recently I can no longer access TV streaming on my PC, which I loved as I could do other things while watching/listening to the news, etc. What happened, why did it change?? Also, my PC has a large screen, better for us slightly older folks. Please put it back. Thank you.

user_ayc0z1, Hi there! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to reach out. I love streaming on my PC too. You've reached the right place for help. I just checked to see if it is now working on my end, and I was happy to be able to stream on my end. Are you still experiencing this issue on your end?

@user_mubmb0 There is no app for laptops, only phones and tablets. To access the email on a laptop or computer you can sign in at https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/

I agree. There are many of us, especially older people who use a desktop to see better, need a windows desktop app that can do everything the phone app can do. Not having it is a disservice to our large group and makes me want to cancel my Xfinity.

Hi there @Scottstheone we truly appreciate the feedback, I can only imagine how difficult it must be to manage your account on a phone when a desktop is what you prefer and need. While we don't have a dedicated desktop app with the full functionality of the mobile app, have you explored our web portal at Xfinity.com? It can be viewed on a desktop and may be able to help with some of the features you need.

I agree!!  I want to be able to watch my cameras on my PC.  Some of us older folks can't see half the stuff on our phones as it is.
