Cant download Xfinity App

I have had terrible connection this past month, have not been able to access the app since the ios update so now that i have a new gateway i cant activate it, everything i go to sends me to a page to download the app that i cannot download, id rather not go out to buy an ethernet cable, why is the xfinity.com/activate site not working?
