Can't access chat in the app

Why have I not been able to access chat in the app for months now, despite Uninstaller, reinstalling etc. I can't even access chat through the xfinity website...it just says "bad gateway" Its impossible to get someone on the phone who can solve your issues...what's going on Xfinity?!
