Cannot Log Into Xfinity Mobile App - "Something Went Wrong"

I am a current Xfinity Internet customer, plus I have a one line Xfinity Mobile plan that I do not use. I have installed the Xfinity Mobile app on my Samsung Galaxy S24+ phone which uses the phone number associated with my Xfinity account (NOT the assigned Xfinity Mobile phone number). After uninstalling and re-installing, I can get to the login screen and enter my credentials, then EVERY time I get the same error message: "Something went wrong - There's been an unexpected error, please try again." One I reach this point, no further action can be taken. If I close and re-open the app, it brings me back to this message. The only way to get to the login screen again is to uninstall and re-install. I've tried every troubleshooting suggestion I've found, including changing the account password and phone number in case the app is confused by previous Xfinity accounts that are now closed. BTW, I can log into the website with my credentials with no issue on all primary browsers.

I believe that the authentication mechanism used by the app goes beyond the account user name and password and possibly a back end fix of some kind is needed. I was considering expanding my Mobile plan in the future, but I need to get the Xfinity app functioning so that I can use the features (such as router settings) and have confidence that I can get the help I need. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I've not posted in a forum before, so I'm not sure how to check for responses and/or provide new information, but I'll hope for a link or directions once I submit this. Thank you!
