Cannot enable Face ID on my iPhone

I’m trying to turn on or toggle on Face ID on my iPhone Xfinity app.  I asked the Xfinity assistant but the instructions did not work becausethere is no option to turn on Face ID on my iPhone Xfinity app under settings.  What could the problem be?

Sorry to hear about the trouble enabling Face ID. Give this a try:  Go to Settings  > Face ID & Passcode > Set up Face ID, then follow the onscreen instructions.

@XfinityJoe​ I saw that instruction from the Xfinity Assistant but when I go into  the Xfinity app on my iPhone 16, I can’t even find “Set up Face ID”.

MikeCustomer Shoot! Let's take a closer look. Are you logged in as the Primary user? Also, do you have two-step verification set up? If not, you will need to enable this feature first. 
 
  • Go to Account settings in the Xfinity app.
  • Select Xfinity ID and security.
  • Add and verify an email and mobile phone number.
  • Turn on two-step verification.
  • Choose Face ID as one of the authentication methods
