Adding my secondary comcast email account to android email

Out of nowhere, my second Comcast email account stopped working on my phone. My primary account works fine. I deleted the account and attempted to add it again, but keep getting a message that says “unable to validate account”. It is fine on my iPad and my computer. Tech support says it is a known issue, and they are working on it. They have been working on it for a while and I have doubts they have an interest in resolving this. Comcast has been downgrading email access starting with the elimination of the Xfinity Connect app (which was widely used). The Xfinity app that replaced it results in a lot of spam that I don’t get on my other devices. Very frustrating and inconvenient.

I am not comfortable engaging in a private message and providing personal information through this forum. I have spoken at length with xfinity tech support, who acknowledged this was an issue they were working on. If you are part of xfinity tech support, you should be aware of this as well. If you can offer me help on this forum, I would appreciate it. As much as I want to resolve this issue, I want to communicate in a safe way. Thank you.
