ACER chromebook says it’s paused but doesn’t show up in devices

My daughter’s chromebook is unable to connect to the internet and says that it is paused on the xfinity xfi screen. When I go to view my devices on the xfi app it is nowhere to be found. I have been completely unable to get the chromebook to work with our gateway modem

Hello, @user_f20bf0. Thank you for visiting and commenting here on the Xfinity Forums. We appreciate you growing the community and the chance to help get that Chromebook identified and connected to your home network. To start, let's go ahead and try to un pause the device using Xfinity xFi.

  • To unpause a device (if the device is individually paused), select the paused device under Paused in the Devices section, then select Unpause Device.

When a device first connects to your home network, the default name of the device, which is either the manufacturer-set name, or the one you gave your device when you first set it up, will be displayed. Please note: devices connected to the public Xfinity WiFi hotspot, xfinitywifi, will not appear in your Devices list. You can learn more about personalizing and controlling your home network with Xfinity xFi here.

Please let us know if this helps.
