Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account

I am trying to activate the Peacock Premium benefit included with my NOW StreamSaver plan. My Xfinity account shows Peacock Premium as “Activation required,” but when I select Activate, Peacock says, “Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account.”

I do not know which Peacock account is currently linked to my Xfinity account, and Peacock’s Account Finder cannot locate it.

Please help remove or reset the existing Peacock account linkage so I can activate Peacock Premium with my current account.

Hello @user_meb7tb thank you for taking the time to reach out on our community forum! Did you have Peacock activated before at another address with us?

Hi, Yes I did. I had an account but I canceled it when I got this.

I was able to resolve this issue by contacting peacock on their chat at https://www.peacocktv.com/help/get-in-touch/technical-assistance/account-troubleshooting

@user_meb7tb

Have you contacted peacock in their chat? If it is the same issue I had, then the issue is probably something like stale data on the peacock side, not the Xfinity side (I worked with Xfinity for over an hour and everything looked fine on their end).

I don't know what the peacock rep did but he probably unlinked a stale Xfinity account. It was about a 5 minute fix once I got hold of someone who knew what to do.

I'm seeing this exact problem. I moved houses and need to activate Peacock at my new address. I get the error "Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account". I read that my account needs to be unlinked but I cannot find any way to do it myself. Can someone at Xfinity please assist??  I did try to resolve this thru chat but the Xfinity agent was completely clueless about how to fix this.

Again, I don't think the issue is on the Xfinity side, but on the Peacock side, so they're the only ones that can fix it. I have heard of people getting around it by creating a brand new Peacock account, but I'm not sure if you want to do that.

OK, thanks. Can Peacock unlink it then?

They did for me! But the key is making sure that when you get on the chat with them, they know exactly what the problem is and that you don't have another Peacock account associated any of your email address or to your Xfinity accounts.

That does not seem possible. Chatting with the Peacock system I'm told "If you want to manage or change your subscription, you have to do so through your provider as Peacock can't do that for you"

Sorry they are giving you the run around. Did you get a live person or just a bot?

These people usually don't know exactly what the issue is :-(

You aren't trying to manage or change your subscription, but just trying to activate it and it is erroneously saying the xfinity account is linked to another peacock account when it actually isn't
