Hello, I purchased a new internet service plan today and have verified my email. I never got a confirmation email and the screen says "Your new account will be available shortly". How long does it take to create a new account? I'd also like to know if my purchase went through and avoid purchasing again.

Generally, when you make a new account it's going to take about 24 hours. I would check back in sometime tomorrow. If you would like to check on your account and make sure it is at least started, I can do that, but I wouldn't be able to give you much more than confirmation than that. You can send me a DM with your name and your full address to check that if you would like. You can send that DM by following these directions: 

To send a direct message you may need to:

Click "Sign In"

Click the "direct message" icon

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

Hi - I'm having the same issue as Rob. How can I confirm my order went through and if I should set up a new account or not? Thanks

@BrianG29 When placing an order for a new account online after the order is complete you will get an email confirming the order and on our end when we look up the address we can see if the order was completed or not and if it isn't we can always get the order placed for you here on our end, no problem.

I no longer actively support the Xfinity Forum or work for Comcast.

@BrianG29 You are welcome! What we can do is double check everything for you from our end and make sure an order was not placed or if one was placed either or and if it wasn't we can either get an account set up for you here in a private setting or you can try again online.
