You can't make that change right now 2 factor authentication

I am trying to turn on 2 factor authentication, but it keeps saying 'You can't make that change right" and that it has to verify my contact information which I already verified with my phone number. How can I fix this to turn on 2 factor authentication?

user_e47dyp Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. I can understand how frustrating that would be, especially when you've already verified your phone number and are still unable to enable two-factor authentication. I'd be happy to take a closer look. Please send us a Direct Message with your full name and service address, so we can review the account and see why the contact verification requirement isn't being recognized. We'll work with you to determine the cause and help get two-factor authentication enabled if possible.

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.
