xfinity wants my bank login information and account numbers giving access to all of my accounts.
I tried to change my bank account for autopay online and was not allowed to change unless I gave my bank account numbers AND my bank login information (seems to be legit). This gives Xfinity/Plaid total access to all of my accounts. this is via PLAID which xfinity says is safe. Xfinity also states that they are not responsible if any information or money is compromised. This is NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!
Any thoughts of the safety / wisdom of this Xfinity requirement?

I love how their only response is assurance that only they will have complete access to all of your bank accounts. As if it weren't obvious that they are collecting information for nefarious purposes later on. Like if they flee the country or plan on emptying your accounts when you die.

Terrible horrible stupid idea. Who came up with this madness? Why can't they just use your routing and account numbers like everyone else does? No way I'm giving out my login and password to anyone. Besides, the bank says you lose their protection if you freely give away your login information like that? Have they lost their minds???
