Xfinity Support

I'm experiencing an issue with accessing my Xfinity (Comcast) email on the Outlook Mail app on my iPhone. Every time I try to load my email, I get an "IMAP/User Password" error.

I’ve followed multiple online guides and instructions from the Xfinity website to resolve the issue, but nothing seems to work. I even asked others in my household who are more tech-savvy, and they haven’t been able to solve it either.

This issue is really important to me, as I rely on my email for work and communication. Please help me resolve this as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

@XfinitySean Hi - yes, I am able to access my Xfinity email through the Xfinity website and via Outlook on my laptop.  The iPhone will not allow me to set up or login into my account when adding the email to the Outlook app.

Dealing with email setup issues across different devices can be incredibly frustrating—especially when it works perfectly fine on your laptop but not your phone! We understand how confusing and annoying this is.

Since you can access your email via the web and your laptop's Outlook, the issue is almost certainly due to an account security setting for mobile apps, not a problem with your password or the email service itself.

The fastest fix is to enable third-party access in your email settings:

  1. Log in to your Xfinity Email via a web browser.

  2. Click the Settings gear icon (⚙).

  3. Go to the Security tab.

  4. Find and check the box labeled "Third Party Access Security."

Toggling this setting usually resolves connection errors, allowing your Outlook app on the iPhone to successfully sign in using the standard IMAP settings. Please give that a try and let me know how it goes.
