Wifi Hotspot not available with my tier of service

I can't access xfinitywifi Hotspots for the last three weeks. Every time I call, xfinity wants to send a technician to my house. Each time I tell them the issue is not any point of service, but my account provisioning. Even xfinity web site says that if I change my password, then my profile needs to be reinstalled. Who does that? Please help.  I rely on xfinitywifi Hotspot access because cell data in my area is so bad.

@user_qsmtoz That is a great question! Your Profile if it is mentioned would be on your side to ensure your device connects to a genuine Xfinity WiFi hotspot. You can check out our Hotspot FAQ page for more information on your profile. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/download-xfinity-wifi-app-prioritize-home-network#

@user_qsmtoz Thank you for that additional information! That is a bit different, then just having to update your password. The tier of service error would come up if you are not on a tier above Performance (unless they have Xfinity Mobile and then all tiers of service qualify - on their mobile device only.) Did you make any changes to your account/plan before this issue started? Do you have more than one Xfinity ID and you are logging into an old one or one that is no longer active? You can check your Xfinity ID information in your Xfinity app profile.

I had an old xfinity id and then a new username/email. Online, they are connected. I can log inton xfinity.com with either.

Another reason i a tech thought might cause the problem is that i might have overused xfinitywifi. On the night i lost the use of it, my home internwt went out while in the middle of streaming a tv sports event to my phone. My phone autoswitched to xfinitywifi. I continued to have services temporatily. (I since had internet service restored to my home, but i am unable to sign into xfinitywifi now a month later no matter where i am it, ie not a home internet issue)
