WHY are you sending me text messages when I haven't given you a mobile number?

I keep getting emails from Xfinity saying "We were unable to reach you via text."

NO [Edited: "Language"], SHERLOCK.  I haven't provided you with a mobile number because I don't have one, and I don't want one.  Are you trying to eliminate customers who don't have cell phones?

And why is it so difficult to find a way to contact you via email?  You keep sending me emails, but I can't reply to them because the mailbox isn't monitored.  If I'm not allowed to email you, YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO EMAIL ME.  That's the rule.

@Beckfield Hello. Thank you for reaching out. I do apologize that you have been getting mailings you wish to not receive at this time. Please follow the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/add-to-do-not-call-list and to manage communications with the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/add-to-do-not-call-list

@XfinityDena The link you typed out and the link it actually takes you to are not the same.  This takes me to the Xfinity "manage communication and advertising settings" page.  There is no "do not call" list there.  However, I followed the instructions and went to the account settings page it referred me to (which I have been to many times already).  I opened the "Marketing emails and texts" link, but in order to change settings for texts, I HAVE TO ENTER A MOBILE NUMBER.  If you refer to my initial message, I DON'T HAVE ONE.

So your advice is pretty useless, and I still don't have answers to my questions, "WHY are you sending me text messages when I haven't given you a mobile number?"  WHERE are you sending these texts??  And why is there no customer service EMAIL address??  I repeat, "If I'm not allowed to email you, YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO EMAIL ME.  That's the rule."

@Beckfield you should be able to add your email to the do not contact without using a mobile number. Is the page asking you to verify the account?
